Day 67: Rain Means an Indoor Workout

I woke up much later than I intended to this morning! I'm sure that the lack of sunshine pouring through my window had something to do with it. It's been raining nonstop for several hours here, so my usual Saturday bike ride has been cancelled for the day. I'm not liking this whole being too full to eat breakfast thing, but I guess at least I am not eating just because it's "time" to eat. Listening to my body and seeing when I am legitimately hungry has become second nature to me now. I looked through the online workouts I've been saving, and I chose this beauty today:

I did this workout (and I actually repeated it as it says to do) at around 10:45 this morning, and I finished at around 11:35. I took a few water breaks here and there, and I kept having to weave in and out of my bedroom to see what move was next.

The hardest moves for me were the high knees and the jump squats. I feel so sorry for my neighbor below me because I'm still trying to teach myself how to land quietly. I was able to do it a couple of times, but with my hurt foot, it's hard to remember to land on my toes and follow through with the descent.

This was a tough workout! I could actually feel the sweat dripping off of my stomach when I had to do the pushups toward the end. I don't have a jump rope, so I just pretended to hold one while I jumped for 30 seconds. 3 cheers for imagination, right??

--------

I had a late lunch of turkey meatballs on wheat toast with pickles and skim mozzarella. The turkey looks burnt in the picture, but they were actually crunchy on the outside and deliciously cooked! They were leftover and frozen from when I made turkey meatballs and wheat pasta a few months ago.

Supper was at a friend's house this evening. They made some yummy roasted pork, cabbage, green beans, and egg noodles. I also had a bowl of Blue Bell's Key Lime Pie ice cream for dessert. Good grief that stuff is delicious. Not the healthiest supper tonight, but I checked the scale, and things haven't moved! Besides, I wouldn't feel right bringing my own food to a supper that someone else cooked. That'd be all kinds of rude!

I got some compliments today from my friend Maggie about how she can really see a difference in my silhouette after dinner tonight! It's always super exciting when people who you haven't seen in a while can see a difference. I never know how to receive these kinds of compliments, though... It's so exciting and flattering but I don't want to sound full of myself either!

I might be taking my off day tomorrow since I have youth mass in the morning and I have to be in Fannett by 9. I *might* be able to squeeze in a quick workout before my shower, but we will see what time my body wants to wake up.

Day 66: Visitors = Too Much Food

So, as I've been writing over the past few days, Nick's cousin Michael has been in town with us since Friday....

While I am thrilled to hang out with Michael while he's here, his presence has put a TON of temptations in front of me to eat things I normally wouldn't on my fitness journey. We've been visiting restaurants that he doesn't have in New Jersey, but I have been trying my best to get some healthier options than I used to.

Like yesterday, it killed me to get a chicken sandwich on wheat at Willy Burger! It's a BURGER PLACE! I'm proud of myself for resisting temptation to get a burger, and while I know that the sandwich was not the most healthy option out there, I knew it was still better than getting a greasy (yet delicious) cheeseburger.

Today was no different. For lunch, we went to the Bayou Cafe' and I had an amazing boiled shrimp po' boy. I was still full from last night's supper so I did not breakfast again.

Before
After... The coleslaw was too peppery for me.
I had 10 french fries.
I was able to get my bike ride done earlier than usual. The heat wasn't too terrible, and the breeze wasn't too strong. I powered through another 11 miles on the hike & bike trail with bench pushups and tricep dips at some of the benches between.

I got curious to see how far the driveway by the soccer fields went, and it was VERY far! I didn't check to see, but I think the driveway goes all the way to Major Drive!! This was the first time I had ever taken my bike onto asphalt, so now I understand why a lot of cyclists wear gloves now because my bike was bouncing all over the place and causing my hands to itch from all the friction. My bike isn't exactly meant for rougher terrain either, though... I'll guess that I biked about 12 or 13 miles today in total after exploring behind the soccer fields!

Supper was on Nick tonight because Michael and I helped him film some reference shots for his animation assignment. We got to hurl Koosh Balls at him and then my HUGE yoga ball at him so he could study the movements of how to dodge getting hit. All 3 of us took a turn at throwing and dodging...it was like a whole other workout!! By the time we were done, we were all exhausted and starving! (Not to mention sweaty and a little bit itchy from rolling in the grass).

Here's a HILARIOUS video of what we did:

Michael had never had Freebirds before, so we brought him there tonight.  I had water with a steak hybird (the smallest burrito they offer) on a wheat tortilla with tomatoes, guacamole, cheese, Spanish rice, sour cream, and bad ass barbecue sauce (that's really what it's called!).  Nick got a hybird burrito also, but Michael is INSANE and got a MONSTER (Their 2nd largest burrito)! Needless to say, Michael could barely move by the time we were done eating, but he said it was completely worth it for the deliciousness!

Before
After...I ate 2/3 of it.
I've mentally prepared myself for not losing any weight while Michael's in town, and I have also prepared myself to work my BUTT OFF even more with this temporary change of my intake. I'm truly trying to make better decisions with what I get when we eat, and I'm really making sure portion control is my best friend right now so that I don't go too overboard and all my hard work hasn't been for nothing.

I've been checking the scale, and I'm still at -11 pounds! I haven't gained any weight, so I am relieved about that! The scale said 139.2 this morning, so I know I'm doing alright!

Today was exhausting, but it was good!
Day 67, I intend to work off this burrito! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Day 65: Endorphin HIGH!

GREAT workout this evening! But first, food reports...

I was actually still full from last night's delicious supper, so I didn't eat breakfast! I don't know how that works, to be honest. Is it OK to skip breakfast? Does it hurt your metabolism to skip it even if you're not hungry? Hmm, looks like I've got some researching to do. If any of you have any answers, let me know!

I finally started feeling hungry at around 10:30, so I decided to eat my lunch early. I had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich on wheat and a bottle of water.

At 4:00, I snacked on some Skinny Cow Creamy Clusters and another bottle of water.

I hit the hike and bike trail at about 6:30 and did a fantastic 11 miles! This is the fastest I've biked in a LONG time. I was able to maintain a fast speed and I actually PASSED some people! This never happens.  I am usually the one being passed, so yay me!

It was toward the end of my workout when it happened...THE ENDORPHIN HIGH. I haven't felt this kind of endorphin high since I worked with a trainer in 2010! Sure, I've been feeling fantastic (with the exception of the dehydration and the injuries) since I started working out on April 25th, but today I FINALLY got that fantastic endorphin high that I've been missing! It was like a wave of fantastic energy washed over me, and I wanted to do another lap, but I had dinner plans again with Nick and Michael! I regret not going another lap now....dangit. I guess this means I need to try for it again tomorrow!

I believe that drinking more water helped me accomplish this today. I've been saying over and over "I need to drink more water," but I haven't really been doing it until lately. I've had about 60 oz of water today, and I feel fantastic!

la la la post bike endorphin high
I think my arms are starting to look less squishy!
I had supper with Nick and Michael at Willy Burger. Instead of getting a hamburger, I got a chicken sandwich on wheat with pickles, onions, cheddar, and barbecue sauce. Nick and I split an order of sweet potato fries, and I had yet another cup of water.

Everybody say hi to Michael!
And my sandwich!
Nick and I killed those sweet potato fries.
When I got home, I stretched for 10 minutes, and now here I am anxiously awaiting shower time.

Day 65 is done! Tomorrow is supposed to be my day off, but I think I will still work out since I've been eating more than usual with Michael in town. I'm not feeling fatigued either, so I might as well use this energy I've got!

On another note, Beth made me realize that I haven't posted any updates on my test results. As expected, I do not have gout or arthritis, and my X-Rays also came back normal, thank goodness! I must have just hyperextended a muscle in my foot. It is still stiff from time to time, but I am still weary of running because I don't want to reactivate any injuries that are finally feeling better. My legs feel weak, but only because I've been biking so much! It's a nice kind of weak...hard to explain, really.

Well, that's all, folks! Goodnight!

Day 64: Heat Wave!

Feeling good tonight. It was a nice day full of activity and vegetables!

Breakfast was a bowl of oatmeal.

Lunch was a spinach salad, half of a chicken sandwich, and a cup of tomato basil soup.

After lunch, I went back to work and got to walk around campus in the CRAZY HEAT to take photos of the 2nd orientation session. I always forget exactly how hot it gets during the summer here in Southeast Texas!

When I got off of work, I headed to the hike & bike trail at around 6:30. I only did 9 miles today because of the insane heat. It was actually difficult to breathe this evening!

Supper was homemade caesar salad, chicken breast, and a small serving of garlic shells...SO GOOD. The salad was made by Michael and it was fantastic! Nick made the garlic shells, and I made the chicken.  Cheers for a team effort.

I am now exhausted. I drank a good amount of water to stay hydrated today in this heat, and I feel fantastic. Day 64 was a good one, folks.

Till next time! Day 65...we shall see what you have for me.

Day 63.2: A Little More

I needed to release some tension, so I just did this, too. Now it's time to rest.

Day 63: Week 9 Weigh In

I know I haven't blogged since Saturday, but I had good reasons! Nick's birthday was Sunday!!

We fetched his Aunt Sara & his cousin Michael from the airport in Lake Charles, and I was with them pretty much all day. I took photos of the food I ate with my phone, but again, the pictures disappeared!!!! I don't have any pictures of food except for the ones I took at supper yesterday (Monday) night, so please bear with me.

With all the food that was around us, I didn't do too terribly, but I still ate much more than I have been over the past few weeks. I wanted to celebrate! There was chicken spaghetti, raw and steamed broccoli, low fat chips, spinach dip, and buttered rolls. I had a bit of all that AND some ice cream cake! ECK!

I didn't work out on Sunday, but I made up for it Monday. I did a 30 minute full body Sworkit workout in the afternoon, and I cut down my portions as well.

Monday breakfast was as usual. Lunch was leftover chicken spaghetti!

I was able to go with Nick and his cousin Michael at Fuzzy's Tacos Monday evening. I ordered 2 crawfish tacos, but I was only able to finish one and a couple of bites of the 2nd, so I gave what I had left to Michael.

After (and before Michael scarfed it)
-------------------------------

OK, now that we're caught up to today....

Breakfast this morning was again my usual cereal and 2% milk.

Nick and Michael brought me a fantastic Banh Mon sandwich at work today! I tried the one called "The Elvis" which has blackstrap pork, thai peanut sauce & sauteed plantains with veggies.

After work, I headed to Fannett for choir practice. I didn't feel very hungry yet, so I ate a banana at my parents' house. I did a 20 minute upper body Sworkit workout while I was there.

I got hungry when I got home after choir practice so I ate some leftover chicken, broccoli, and pasta.

So here's week 9's weigh in! I'm back at -11 pounds! I'm surprised/relieved that I didn't gain anything after all the food I've eaten over the past couple of days, but I know I've been working hard. I want to accelerate past these first 11 pounds soon, so I know I need to step it up. It's hard when relatives are in town, though! I guess this is my summer challenge...

Tomorrow is another day. Let's enjoy it and make it a good one. See ya, Day 64!

Day 60: I NEED A WINDSHIELD!

YUCK. Yuck some more!

I woke up early this morning, chilled for a bit, had a banana, a big glass of water, and headed out to the hike & bike trail at around 9:30.

Before I left, I warmed up with one cycle of this:

The weather was GORGEOUS...not too hot (at first) and the breeze wasn't a pain today either. There were men mowing the grass around the trail again today, but luckily, I didn't get chased by any riding mowers this time. I'm guessing that the mowing of the grass stirred up ALL THE INSECTS IN THE WORLD this morning because I couldn't tell you how many bugs I probably sniffed, swatted and swallowed on the trail this morning. HENCE THE YUCK.

I already learned my lesson the hard way once several weeks ago when I didn't have sunglasses and got bugs in my eye, but today was a whole other story. Have you ever walked through the grass and seen those massive swarm balls of those teeny tiny (hopefully) harmless bugs or gnats or whatever they are? Well, they were out to play today on the trail, and I rode through multiple swarms of them. BLECH. My goal today was to bike 15 miles, but the obnoxious little critters made it unbearable!

Here are JUST A FEW remnants of what was left on me when I got home:

I'm just glad I was able to last the 11 miles with all those creepy crawlies all over me. Normally, I am not too squeamish about bugs, but these were really hindering my breathing (you know, since I was INHALING them) and my vision. I hope I can avoid going back while the mowers are out from now on.

Anywho, I got back home and had a bowl of oatmeal and another banana with a massive glass of water for lunch. I did not take photos, though... Boring stuff.

Today was all laundry and church so I can be free to celebrate Nick's birthday with him and his family tomorrow! Yay!

Here was my supper:

Last of the pasta & broccoli with
freshly cooked skinless chicken

Half of my Nutella Crave Cupcake
was dessert! Mmmmmmm!
That's all, folks! I'm hoping I can behave myself tomorrow for Nick's birthday...haha! Till then!

Day 59: Brave Day!

Well, I wanted to work out today, but I didn't get the chance!

Breakfast was a banana this morning. I wanted to eat yogurt with it too, but the yogurt container had a hole in it, and I did not trust the safety of its contents.

Lunch was leftovers from last night.

My lunch kept me pretty full all day long, so I did not have any snacks.

Today's post is called "Brave Day" because today was the opening day of Disney Pixar's newest movie, BRAVE! Nick and I have been looking forward to the release of this movie for a long time, and he could not wait to see it! We went straight there after I got off of work.

I had 1/4 of a small popcorn (with no butter) and a water while I was there. What a rip off! I rarely buy food at the movies anymore since it's so ridiculously expensive, but I did not want to risk getting a headache and being hungry during the movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed Brave!!! It wasn't as mind blowing as Pixar's previous films in my opinion, but it was still quite grand, and definitely not disappointing! Merida's hair...oh goodness I love her hair!

After the movie, Nick treated me to some sushi at Tokyo.

We shared an orchid roll (left) and a kishi maki roll (right). They are both fantastic, and I highly recommend them! It was a nice change to our usual crunch and obe rolls.

That was pretty much my day! I did 100 jumping jacks and 20 pushups this evening, but nothing too crazy as usual. Tomorrow, I shall return to the hike & bike trail right after breakfast before I do laundry and prepare for Nick's birthday! Yay!

Day 60, I look forward to greeting you by sleeping in! Goodnight, all. Go see BRAVE!

Day 58: Lucky 13 miles

I'm trying something different tonight. I'm blogging from my phone! I was on the phone with Nick and I realized I had forgotten to blog, and I've already shut down my computer and gotten into bed. I don't like being a day behind, but I'm too tired to reboot, so I figured I'd try the app on my phone. I hope this works!
Breakfast was a banana and some vanilla kefir.
Nick stopped by my office to help me finish off the last 2 slices of pizza from Father's Day, and I ate the smaller slice.

We had some fresh cherries for dessert, and then Nick went on his merry way.

When I got home, I made myself a supper of skinless chicken, steamed broccoli, and pasta with low carb marinara sauce. For dessert, I had the rest of my strawberry cupcake & a mango.

After supper, I went to the hike & bike trail. There was no breeze this evening, so I had no excuse not to bike as fast as I could today. I was able to do 13 miles before it got too dark, so yay! I felt awesome today without the wind tunnel, & I was also properly hydrated. I tried to push myself since I had the cupcake & the pizza! Gah, food...you're so wonderful and yet to awful.

That was that! Tomorrow is day 59, and I usually rest on Fridays, but since Sunday is Nick's birthday, I am going to take off then instead so I can enjoy the day with him! I shall post my workout tomorrow! Here's hoping that blogging from my phone works! Goodnight!

Day 57: Houston, Cupcakes, & Meeting Ivonne!

Sorry to do another day-late posting, but I got home very late last night!

It felt weird having a day off in the middle of the week, but these were very special circumstances! One of Nick's classmates from Animation Mentor was on her way home to Mexico City from a job she got for a couple of months in Belgium, and she had a layover in Houston for a few hours. We thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to try to meet her, so we made the trek to Houston and fetched her from the airport for what seemed to be only minutes!

Since Nick and I didn't have to pick up Ivonne until 2:00, I was able to fit my workout in before we left. I was happy that there wasn't any rain yesterday morning and I took full advantage of the sunshine by heading to the hike & bike trail and biking 11 sweaty miles. I was surprised to see that many people on the trail at 9 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. There were also people mowing the grass and emptying the garbage cans on the trail. There was a point when I felt like I was in a video game or a movie being chased by one of the lawn mowers on the trail! The mower being behind me really made me boost my speed for a good long stretch, but I was SPENT when I rounded the corner. The wind wasn't too friendly yesterday either. I swear, those windy portions of the hike & bike seem to be getting more and more challenging every time I'm out there.

After my bike ride, I rushed back to my apartment to shower and prepare a small and quick lunch for Nick and me to eat before we headed to Houston. I warmed Nick up some Totino's pizza rolls and edemame and we shared some chips. (Random, I know, but that's what happens when you're in a hurry). I didn't have any pizza rolls, though....I just had a bowl of oatmeal with chips & salsa. We also split a bag of skinny cow dark chocolate dreamy clusters. HOLY CRAP these are great, and they're only 150 calories per bag! I highly recommend them if your sweet tooth is crying and just won't shut up.

After lunch, Nick drove us to Houston. We arrived at the Bush Intercontinental Airport pretty early, and we had to wait for Ivonne to arrive for about an hour or so. I've never seen someone so enthusiastically wave at anyone before when she spotted us from the arrival gate! We had a wonderful day together, and I truly wish it could have been longer. We kept laughing about how it was so weird and awesome that we FINALLY got to meet each other face-to-face and in person. It was refreshing to see Ivonne and be able to hug her and hear her real voice instead of seeing her on a computer screen and hearing her over the speakers on my computer!

Our first (and pretty much only, unfortunately) stop was to Crave Cupcakes in Uptown Park by the Galleria. We got to give Ivonne her very first taste of American cupcakes, and she was a big fan!

Apparently yesterday was Crave's 4th birthday
so they were giving away FREE mini cupcakes!
Everybody, meet Ivonne!
Here she is enjoying her banana cupcake!
This was my strawberry cupcake!
I couldn't finish it, so I saved the rest for later.
Thanks for treating us to cupcakes, Nick!
Sadly, by the time we were done at Crave it was already almost time for rush hour traffic to start. We decided to head back to a restaurant closer to the airport, but there weren't any worth visiting!!! We truly just wanted to hang out and get to talk, so we decided to just chill in the airport until it was time for Ivonne to leave.

We found a small food vendor in the airport close to the check-in point for international flights and pretty much just chilled there for a little over 3 hours. It was great to chat about their schooling and their animation dreams. Nick's schooling feels even more real now that we've met a fellow Animation Mentor student in person! GAH I wish we had more time together!!

While we were in the airport, Ivonne got us a bag of Doritos to share, and Nick got me a roast beef with provolone sandwich. I only ate half because...well, it sucked. (Sooo sorry you had to waste your money on this for me, Nick!)

The sandwich might have made me a little sick because I spent a lot of last night tossing and turning with stomach pains and I was late to work this morning... Let's just say I was down to 137.6 pounds this morning thanks to what I had to go through last night, and just leave it at that. haha!

Minutes before Ivonne had to head to her gate, we remembered we needed to take a pic of all 3 of us together!

More will be posted on FB!
Gotta love the timer feature on cameras.
Ivonne is fantastic, and I hope to see her again some day soon! She was super sweet and got Nick and me each a HUUUGE Toblerone bar from Belgium! Can't wait to treat myself to some over the next few months...haha (seriously, these things are heavy duty). She also got Nick a fantastic Lego themed sketch book! Thanks for all your sweetness and kindness, Ivonne! Till we meet again!!!

A bittersweet feeling washed over Nick and me as we headed back to Beaumont. We both loved spending time with Ivonne, and it was much too short-lived...

It was pretty late when we headed home (I'd say 8:30ish) and Nick was pretty hungry since he opted not to risk eating the gross food at the little vendor in the airport. Wise man. We stopped at Chick-Fil-A in Baytown and we had some nuggets there. I had an 8 pack with lemonade and Nick ordered a meal (12 pack with fries). I ate about 8 of his fries. We finally got back to Beaumont at 11.

It wasn't the healthiest eating day, but at least I got my workout done and I did OK with portion control! I intend to be much better on Day 58 and the days to follow before Nick's birthday on Sunday! Yay!

Day 56: Week 8 Weigh In

Wow, another week has flown by!

Breakfast was cereal with 2% milk.
Lunch consisted of leftovers from last night's supper.

I had choir practice in Fannett after work, so I tried to squeeze in a quick workout at my parents' house in the living room. I focused on the upper body this evening and I was able to do a 10 minute workout with the Sworkit App on my phone. Lots of over the head clapping, pushups, jumping jacks, and planking today!

I am going to Houston tomorrow for the day with Nick to meet a friend of ours from Nick's school who is on her way home to Mexico City. Her name is Ivonne, and she worked in Belgium for a couple of months and she has an 8 hour layover in Houston. We thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to meet her! Yay!

I truly hope that the weather allows me to bike tomorrow morning before we leave. I know I biked 9 miles on Sunday morning, but it didn't feel like enough. Yesterday and today's workouts were good, but they also did not feel like enough either. I want to fit in at least 11 miles into my morning bike ride tomorrow (weather permitting). If it's raining, I guess I will try to do the elliptical.

My foot has been feeling much better over the past couple of days, and I am barely limping anymore. I only limp when I first get up, and I'm able to walk normally after I take a few steps. Thank goodness!

Now it's week 8 weigh in time! I am not surprised that I gained a tiny bit since last week due to what I've been eating over the past couple of days. Just a couple of days of pizza and one day of burger hindered my weight loss, but I'm trying not to let it bother me.

I only gained .8 lb since last week.
I'm lad it wasn't more!
Eew, I need to redo my toenails.
I'm still in the double minus digits! Yay!
That's all, folks.  I will try to eat as decently as possible in Houston tomorrow...but I am also kind of hoping that we can stop by either Crave or Sprinkles and get a cupcake! hehehe You know....to treat Ivonne! ;)

Have a restful evening, all. Here's hoping Day 57 is a good one!

Day 55: Rainy Days & Mondays...

Was this a Monday or WHAT?

I usually don't get bothered too much by it being Monday, but today was off more than any Monday I've had in quite a while.

I didn't sleep well last night thanks to the booming thunder and numerous car alarms in the parking lot honking the night away during the storms, so my alarm ringing in the morning was not a welcome noise to be heard.

When I left for work, it was P O U R I N G and I could barely see the road! I wish more people had the common sense to turn on their headlights when it's storming that badly... Anyway, I am just thankful I got to work safely.

Breakfast was oatmeal this morning.
I snacked on a dark chocolate & peanut protein bar at about 10:30.

I had to bring a bag of stuff that my parents left at my apartment to my dad's work at around 12:30, and then I returned to eat lunch in my office. It was upon my return to the office when I discovered that my favorite pair of sunglasses is now broken. Le Sigh..

I had leftover pizza...1 and 1/2 slice.

While I was eating lunch, I got a phone call from my friend Jud's mom, Ms Toni. She mentioned that a dear friend of everyone at my church, Mrs. Rhonda Dismukes, suffered a brain aneurysm and was rushed to St. Luke's in Houston. I TRULY and sincerely hope that she recovers from this! She's one of the kindest people I've ever known! Shoot up a little prayer to the Big Guy for Mrs. Rhonda and send some kind thoughts for her and her family if you can, please!

I needed to get some groceries and toiletries after work today, so I headed to Wal-Mart in the rain. What a nightmare. The shopping part wasn't too terrible, but the checking out took an ETERNITY. It wasn't too crowded, but there were only about 3 lanes open. Bleh... I'm pretty sure I waited almost 30 minutes in line to check out.

When I finally got home at around 7, I decided that lugging up all my groceries in the rain up 3 flights of stairs was a good part of my workout for the day. There's no way I didn't burn calories and build muscle by doing that. haha!

I made myself some supper...

Salmon fillet, garlic shells with baby spinach,
and a roma tomato
Yay, leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
I decided to treat myself to a very small
bowl of Key Lime Pie ice cream.
I bought this in honor of Nick's birthday this Sunday!
By the time I had digested enough to feel like I could really work out, it was already 9:00!!! I was so tired, so I decided to do a 15 minute Sworkit workout. For some reason, the full body workout function really liked diamond pushups and hip thrusts today. I could barely last through today's workout!

After all the rich food I had this weekend, I can feel the difference in the amount of energy I've had. It's definitely gone DOWN. I am also still dehydrated! I drank more water than usual today, but it still wasn't enough. I wanted to buy a water container that would better help me track how much water I drink every day from Wal-Mart, but they didn't have anything that I thought would work for me. I suppose I shall check the Internet! I refuse to buy a ton of water bottles every day -- TOO EXPENSIVE.

I probably haven't lost any weight since last week, so I'm not too thrilled about doing my weigh in tomorrow. I'm trying not to be discouraged. I am recovering from a couple of injuries and I had a holiday weekend that needed celebrating. I shall be on better track the rest of the week!

Despite the not-so-great Monday I had, I am still here, and I still did what I needed to do. I got to see my dad for a few minutes, I got to talk to both him and my mom on the phone and have good conversations with them, and I got to eat. I am a very lucky and blessed individual.

Day 56, I shall greet you in the morning. Goodnight, friends and readers.
